We hold plan exhibition "accessories across the sea" in Saga Prefectural Nagoya Castle Museum spring

 Northern part Kyushu where Saga was located consisted of locations to approach Mainland China and the Korean Peninsula geographically for a long time in doorway of the Japanese Islands, and various continent culture has been brought quickly. One of the representative things is accessories.
 It is important key and information that it is in investigating society and culture at the time as it is not only function as fashion giving glory to the position, and ancient accessories were things indicating social social position and cultural regionality. Metal suikazarifumimikazari (suishokutsukimimikazari) was one of production, the used representative accessories in the Korean Peninsula, and it was brought in the Japanese Islands across the sea. In addition, as for various balls constituting accessories, what was brought via the Korean Peninsula from each place of west Asia and East Asia becomes clear as well as from domestic production centers of the Hokuriku district or the San-in district.
 At this exhibition, we gather Yayoi period under Saga, accessories related materials of Burial Mound age mainly on accessories excavated in Higashimatsuura area facing the Sea of Genkai of North Saga in one place and introduce about ancient Japan and Korea interchange.

 Lecturer: Summer favor (member of this hotel international exchange)
